Germany charges & arrests individuals for exporting to Russia

The German Federal Prosecutor has filed charges against a German and a Russian national for exporting electronic components for drones to Russia.  The 2 individuals allegedly circumvented export controls by misleading suppliers about the ultimate destination and using entities in Kyrgyzstan and Hong Kong.

It has been reported that 3 men have been arrested in Germany for exporting high quality cars to Russia via Belarus.  In March 2022, the EU prohibited the export of cars to Russia of a value exceeding €50,000, and in June 2023, prohibited the export to Russia of all cars with an engine size above 1900cc.
