Tomaev Azamat

Employee of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, chairman of the supervisory board of the youth branch of the Russian Society of Political Scientists.

Born in 1996. In 2018 he graduated from a bachelor's degree and in 2020 from a master's degree at the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. In 2020 - 2023 - graduate student of the same faculty of Moscow State University.

Tomaev’s sphere of scientific and professional interests is youth policy, and more specifically, “the formation of youth political leaders in modern Russia.” Of course, he interprets such “youth leadership” exclusively through the prism of loyalism and Putin’s “patriotism.”

From 2016 to 2022, he was the Chairman of the Presidium of the organization “Youth Branch of the Russian Society of Political Scientists” (“MolROP”), and is currently the chairman of the supervisory board of this organization .

In 2021 Azamat Tomaev became one of the winners in the “Political Scientists Competition”, organized with the direct participation of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation (as well as under the auspices of structures affiliated with the PA - EISI and ANO “Russia - the Land of Opportunities”). The odious Sergei Kiriyenko took part in the award ceremony for the winners in April 2021 . During the ceremony, Tomaev himself did not skimp on praise to the organizers and participants, and described the notorious propagandist Vladimir Solovyov (who conducted a “master class” during the event) as “a true professional in his field,” “from whom one can and should learn”

In addition, until November 2022, Tomaev was a member of the Commission of the Youth Chamber for Science, Education and Culture at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia .

1) Ensuring the functioning of the state power system under the dictatorship of Vladimir Putin by leading a pro-Kremlin organization and working in the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

2) Propaganda of the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Azamat Tomaev is a representative of the “young generation” of Russian political scientists, who has been serving the interests of the Kremlin in the “near-academic” environment for many years. The affiliation of the MolROP organization, whose leadership Tomaev has been since 2016, with the Kremlin is absolutely obvious, at least from the main events of its information agenda, namely:

• awarding the MolROP team with letters of gratitude from the odious Sergey Kiriyenko;

• annual obsequious congratulations to Vladimir Putin in honor of his birthday and holding quizzes in his honor called “My President ”;

• joint events with the notorious ANO “Dialog”.

It is important to note that Azamat Tomaev has been an employee of the internal political block of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation for several years: in 2022, Tomaev worked in the Directorate of Public Projects , and as of February 2024, he held the position of consultant in the Department of monitoring and analysis of social processes of the Directorate for Supporting the Activities of the State Council of the Russian Federation.

On his social networks Tomaev spreads overt pro-war and anti-Ukrainian propaganda . Similar propaganda is present in many of MolROP’s messages; in particular, the annexation of Ukrainian territories seized during the war by holding fake “referendums” in them in September 2022 was greeted with delight by this organization . And in December 2023, this organization hypocritically “sympathized with Belgorod,” (which was being severely shelled that time) adding: “Now at the front, Russian soldiers are doing everything so that this bright holiday is not taken away from every child, from every Russian” (although in fact both the “holiday” and the lives of hundreds of thousands of lives of residents of Ukraine and Russia were taken away precisely as a result war unleashed by the regime of Vladimir Putin and justified by MolROP ).

Thus, as one of the functionaries of the regime and as a propagandist of the full-scale aggressive war unleashed by the Kremlin in February 2022, as well as the annexation of Ukrainian territories, Azamat Tomaev is responsible for the crimes of this regime, including war crimes related to the aforementioned aggression.
